Maya Pundij

Physiotherapist

About

Born and bread in Geelong, Maya has grown up immersed in sports where she took a particular liking to athletics and martial arts. Her love for sprinting flourished after receiving a sports scholarship at Geelong Grammar School for her secondary education and she is still pursuing her passion in high-level athletics. If not at the track or the gym, you will find her going for long walks or reading her favourite books at a local cafe.

Experience

After years of seeing physiotherapists for her sporting injuries, Maya was inspired to complete a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Australian Catholic University in Ballarat.

Maya’s passion for exercise and movement has also motivated her to improve her skills in exercise rehabilitation, programming for injury prevention and high-level performance. In the near future, Maya hopes to complete a Masters in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy.

Alongside her passion in working with track and field athletes, Maya has a keen interest in pre and post-natal women’s health. On various weekends, you may also find Maya in the medical wards at SJOG Geelong hospital working with acutely unwell patients.
